RESEARCH REQUIREMENTS:
- Ages 6 to 50 years with undiagnosed symptoms suggestive of asthma.
- No use of Asthma Medications
- Skin test negative to seasonal and perennial aeroallergens present at time of enrollment in study.
- Females of child bearing potential must be using a medically accepted means of birth control.
- Must not have taken an investigational drug within 6 weeks of screening visit.
- Must not have had an upper respiratory infection within 4 weeks of the screening visit.
- Must not have smoked in the past 1 year or have a 10 pack a year history of smoking.
RESEARCH PROCEDURES:
- Length of study may be 3 days – 3 weeks involving 3 – 5 office visits
- The following procedures will be done at various times during the study:
Physical Exam - Medical History - Lung Function Tests (PFT)
Laboratory Tests - Skin Tests - Urine Pregnancy Test - ECG
Asthma Assessment - Exercise Challenge - Chest Xray (if needed)
- Compensation will be given for time and travel.
This is a Research Study involving an Investigational Medication.
All study related medications, office visits and procedures are at no cost to you.
