San Diegans Battle Allergy Attack!

Spring Pollens Arrive Early; Symptoms Increase

(San Diego)- "Spring has arrived and pollen levels have been increasing dramatically" said Dr. Bruce Prenner M.D., founder of Allergy Associates Medical Group in San Diego.  "More San Diegans are experiencing allergy and asthma symptoms earlier than usual."  Dr. Prenner advises that recognizing "allergy triggers" can make the spring season more comfortable.  "You don't have to simply tolerate symptoms such as itchy eyes, sneezing, runny nose and fatigue.
"It's important to know the symptoms and to consider a variety of non-sedating medications that are available," notes Dr. Prenner. ""Remember that pollen levels are highest in the morning hours, so outdoor activities (such as exercise) should be planned accordingly. The good news is that treatment is also available to help make our changing weather easier to handle.
